About the Chapter

We are a group of volunteer advocates working on #insulin4all action in Nigeria to raise awareness about the insulin price crisis and improve the lives of people with diabetes in our country.

We are supported by T1International, a non-profit organization that advocates for and with everyone with type 1 diabetes around the world. The organization accepts no funding from pharmaceutical companies and provides advocacy training and support.

Mark, Chapter Leader

Mark has been living with type 1 diabetes since 2014. Affordability and proper education, especially at diagnosis, have been shown to improve diabetes management, but there are gaps in diabetes management and care in Nigeria. With the help of T1 International and through the Diabetes Advocacy and Support Community (DASC) that Mark founded, he aims to educate, raise awareness, and ensure that people living with diabetes are supported and receive the proper treatment and needed care.
